In 2008 we started to reforest the first area in the Rwenzori Mountains. Within a few years, the planted trees have developed into a stately forest. It is called Kitabo forest by the locals.
The forest was planted in such a way that the local population can grow crops such as beans, casava or individual banana plants between the trees.
This ensures that the forest is continuously maintained.
